A studio apartment inside a historic Vermont estate, designed around the open pastoral landscape this hillside once was. A floor-to-ceiling mural, mountain views of the Worcester Range, antique furnishings, a mid-century kitchen with bones intact, and a fire pit at the edge of the terraced yard where it drops toward the field. Boyer State Forest trail access from the door. 12 minutes from Montpelier, 43 from Stowe, 41 from Sugarbush.

Good to know

The living area centers on the fireplace — floor-to-ceiling fieldstone, the defining feature of the room. Opposite it, a corduroy sofa sits against the William Morris Pimpernel wallpaper, its deep navy botanical pattern wrapping three walls around the sleeping area and spilling onto the wall behind the couch. An antique ox cart coffee table sits between them, worn smooth and genuinely old. The sloped ceiling gives the room an intimate, enclosed quality. The sleeping area is tucked into the wallpapered end of the cottage — a queen bed, warm amber light, and the sense of being thoroughly inside somewhere. Bedside lamps include USB charging ports. In the kitchen, two antique brass flame sconces flank the walls, giving the room its evening character. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'll need. A small cafe table with two metal chairs on the private deck is where mornings happen — string lights surrounding, mountain view in front of you. Below the deck, a private fire pit sits on the grass in front of the stone wall, with two solid cedar Adirondack chairs. The cottage and its outdoor spaces are entirely yours. The bathroom carries the cottage's character through — mustard yellow walls, botanical toile shower curtain. Boyer State Forest trail access begins directly from the property — hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing from the door. The Earhart Cottage is a freestanding building on Boyer Estate, situated on the other side of the garage from the Pastoral Suite. You may occasionally see those guests outside. The sauna is shared between both Boyer Estate properties and booked by reservation — details sent after booking. Heat and AC are controlled via thermostat. Roku TV with guest mode. Dedicated workspace with desk and chair. High speed Wi-Fi throughout. 100% cotton sheets, full towels, and all bathroom and kitchen essentials provided. Drip coffee maker with complimentary coffee, tea, creamers, and sugar ready and waiting. A pack-and-play is available in the closet for families with infants — please bring your own crib bedding.

Other Details to Note

The property is situated on a dirt road. In winter (December through March) expect snowpack and occasional icy patches — AWD or 4WD with snow tires or quality all-season tires is strongly recommended. Most guests with appropriate vehicles have no issues. During Vermont's mud season (typically late March through early May), a portion of the road the property is on may close. This does not affect arrival from the interstate, which is how most guests will be coming. Full routing details are included in your pre-arrival message after booking. This is a strictly pet-free property. We maintain this standard to ensure every guest arrives to a clean, hair-free, allergen-free space. We conduct thorough inspections between every stay. Undisclosed pets will result in an additional deep-cleaning fee charged through Airbnb's resolution center and may affect your guest standing.

Accessibility and Availability

Neighborhood

The Riverton Suite is an attached apartment on our family home where we live with our young children. You may hear us occasionally inside the house and see us outside. There is another guest room in a separate cottage that is on the other side of our garage. The area is rural on a dirt road and the neighbors homes are several hundred feet away and mostly obscured by the woods.

Guest Access

You'll access the suite via keypad — your door code will be sent prior to arrival. A Ring doorbell is located at the front door of the house if you need to reach us directly. The apartment is entirely yours for your stay, with your own private entrance. Guests are welcome to use the back yard, fire pit, and Boyer State Forest trails directly from the property.

This place is a gem. I don't often leave gushing reviews but the design of the space is super cool, sitting in the sauna in the dark and seeing rhe stars is amazing, and it feels like they thought of every detail. this is what Airbnb should feel like. 10/10 hosts, 10/10 space would book again!

We had a wonderful stay in Bradley's charming AirBnB. The place was clean, warm and well equipped for cooking. The sauna was available every evening of our stay to relax and was a major highlight of our trip. Will be staying here again next time we plan a trip to VT!

Bradley is an accommodating host who was flexible with us while it took us much longer to arrive for check in due to driving in a storm. Most notable was that the place was fully equipped, with attention to detail, and we had everything we needed. Although we were out and about the entire time except for sleeping, it was so nice to come back to warm up and get some much needed rest in a quiet environment!

The Moonlight Woods is a lovely Airbnb in beautiful surroundings that was clean, comfortable and unique. There are many antiques and even an organ over 100 years old that provided my pianist son with great enjoyment. The kitchen and bathroom Are spotless, vintage 1960s! Bed and linens were super comfy and the sauna an added bonus. Secluded and quiet but close to I89 and the roads were all well-serviced and repeatedly sanded. About 40 minutes to Sugarbush and Mad River Glen!

Bradley's MoonLightWoods was a fantastic space! We felt at home as soon as we stepped into the rental. And upon opening the door we were treated to THE best view of the mountains! The rental was so clean and there was nothing we wanted for there. The coffee pot with coffee & filters, a king bed with great sheets, a television, washer & dryer, absorbent towels, plenty of hot water, hangers in the closet...I could go on and on. We used the rental as a home base to take day trips into Waterbury and Stowe, and we visited hiking trails, restaurants, and some covered bridges. We were glad to come home for a restful night at MoonLightWoods. We were lucky enough to meet Bradley in person before we left. He's a wonderful host and nice person. If we visit Vermont again we will stay at Bradley's.
