A freestanding cottage on a historic Vermont estate, built around a floor-to-ceiling fieldstone fireplace and wrapped in William Morris botanical wallpaper — private, enclosed, and unlike any other cottage in central Vermont. A queen bed, full kitchen, private deck and fire pit, Boyer State Forest trail access from the door, and a shared sauna. 12 minutes from Montpelier, 41 from Sugarbush, 43 from Stowe.

Good to know

The living area centers on the fireplace — floor-to-ceiling fieldstone, the defining feature of the room. Opposite it, a corduroy sofa sits against the William Morris Pimpernel wallpaper, its deep navy botanical pattern wrapping three walls around the sleeping area and spilling onto the wall behind the couch. An antique ox cart coffee table sits between them, worn smooth and genuinely old. The sloped ceiling gives the room an intimate, enclosed quality. The sleeping area is tucked into the wallpapered end of the cottage — a queen bed, warm amber light, and the sense of being thoroughly inside somewhere. Bedside lamps include USB charging ports. In the kitchen, two antique brass flame sconces flank the walls, giving the room its evening character. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'll need. A small cafe table with two metal chairs on the private deck is where mornings happen — string lights surrounding, mountain view in front of you. Below the deck, a private fire pit sits on the grass in front of the stone wall, with two solid cedar Adirondack chairs. The cottage and its outdoor spaces are entirely yours. The bathroom carries the cottage's character through — mustard yellow walls, botanical toile shower curtain. Boyer State Forest trail access begins directly from the property — hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing from the door. The Earhart Cottage is a freestanding building on Boyer Estate, situated on the other side of the garage from the Meadow Suite. You may occasionally see us or those guests outside. The sauna is shared between both Boyer Estate properties and booked by reservation — details sent after booking. Heat and AC are controlled via thermostat. Roku TV with guest mode. Dedicated workspace with desk and chair. High speed Wi-Fi throughout. 100% cotton sheets, full towels, and all bathroom and kitchen essentials provided. Drip coffee maker with complimentary coffee, tea, creamers, and sugar ready and waiting. A pack-and-play is available in the closet for families with infants — please bring your own crib bedding.

Other Details to Note

The property is situated on a dirt road. In winter (December through March) expect snowpack and occasional icy patches — AWD or 4WD with snow tires or quality all-season tires is strongly recommended. Most guests with appropriate vehicles have no issues. During Vermont's mud season (typically late March through early May), a portion of the road the property is on will close. This does not affect arrival from the interstate, which is how most guests will be coming. Full routing details are included in your pre-arrival message after booking. This is a strictly pet-free property. We maintain this standard to ensure every guest arrives to a clean, hair-free, allergen-free space. We conduct thorough inspections between every stay. Undisclosed pets will result in an additional deep-cleaning fee charged through Airbnb's resolution center and may affect your guest standing.

This was by far the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in. VERY clean and so cute. My boyfriend and I felt right at home. Bradley was so helpful with the whole process and even when we had a car issue he was right there to help, which we are forever grateful for. The location was perfect for no matter where you wanted to go in VT but you still get to stay in a quiet part of town (which we love). I cannot say enough good things about this experience. We cannot wait to book with Bradley again!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Bradley's place. The location was convenient to Montpelier and all its amenities but also peaceful and remote with an amazing view over the mountains. The place itself was very cozy, we really enjoyed the fire and it had all the amenities we needed. It was a real bonus to take advantage of the sauna and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Bradley was always responsive and made it super easy to check in and out. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bradley place to other travelers.

Great cozy place to stay! Not far from all the things you need. House is a little closer to the road than expected but it was still so quiet and relaxing you didn’t even notice it. The views were also great!

We spent our Thanksgiving weekend in this beautiful cottage and it was a great chance to relax. The cottage is cozy and private, but it’s still a very short drive from grocery stores and other cities and towns. We enjoyed exploring Montpelier which was a 15 minute drive away. All in all, a great experience!

i booked bradley’s airbnb for my boyfriend’s birthday weekend and it was everything we could have asked for. nearly every question i normally ask myself before booking an airbnb was already answered (ie. water is drinkable, clean sponge in the kitchen, etc), which set the space of feeling comfortable and cared for. nothing was an afterthought. every aspect of this airbnb was intentional. nothing was skimped out on for profit. stunning sheets, wallpaper, antique and vintage decor, stainless steel kitchen utensils, fireplace, etc. beautifully designed and so functional. the sauna was very luckily functioning for our weekend there, which was a complete surprise! 11/10! bradley was extremely responsive and accommodating. we were able to arrange early check in and late checkout. i would absolutely stay here again - sitting on a cozy couch watching a funny movie in front a fire while it snowed outside was so special. thank you for everything bradley, we’d love to come back! highly recommend!

The perfect stay! From the beautiful decor and details to the incredibly soft towels, everything was immaculate. Plus, the location is great for exploring Montpelier and the surrounding areas. We would absolutely stay again and couldn't recommend it enough for a couple's weekend away.

The cottage is ideally located for visiting surrounding cities and different points of destination. We were met by Bradley and he was very helpful and friendly. The cottage itself, is cozy with rustic decor, a deck wirh chairs, and a fire pit. There is one big bed with very comfortable sheets and the pillows will definitely give you a good night's sleep. There is a flat screen Roku TV and the wifi is great. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to bake or cook, including a stove/oven, fridge, microwave, sink, etc. The coffee maker malfunctioned, but Bradley replaced it by the time we got back from visiting Montpelier. I'd definitely visit again and stay at one of Bradley's properties! He was a great host and it is well taken care of. Thx again Bradley!
